Imagine your sponsored child's delight when they receive a letter from you. Our eLetter service makes writing to your sponsored child so much easier.
When you send an eLetter from this website, it is forwarded to the World Vision office in the country where your sponsored child lives. The eLetter is then printed, translated and delivered to your sponsored child.
What happens?
Your eletter is now on it’s way to your sponsored child’s country!
Next, it will arrive at the National Office of your sponsored child’s country. Here it’s checked, registered, then sent to the local World Vision office near your sponsored child’s community.
Where necessary, a staff member or volunteer will translate your eLetter into your sponsored child’s own language. A print out of this and your original eLetter will be prepared for delivery.
A staff member or volunteer will hand deliver your eLetter, this may be at school in the local community centre or at home. This journey can take some time, see below.
Your sponsored child will prepare a handwritten reply with the help of a World Vision staff member, volunteer, parent, teacher or older sibling.
Where necessary, a World Vision staff member or volunteer will translate the letter into English.
Your sponsored child’s letter will be forwarded to the World Vision National Office in their country where it will be registered and sent to you via regular post.
Please be patient, it can take up to 6 months to get a reply. Delays in developing countries are very common, see below for more information.
