There are a variety of payment options available to you. You can help reduce World Vision's
administration costs by selecting to pay by direct debit and selecting a less frequent
payment period, such as once every 6 or 12 months, instead of monthly.

There are two ways you can pay by direct debit.
- You can choose to sponsor a child by direct debit. World Vision will select the child for you.
- You will be sent a direct debit authority to complete and send back to World Vision
- If you wish to select a child yourself:
- Simply make your first payment online with a credit card
- Download the direct debit authority form,
complete and return to World Vision. Please note that future payments will be charged to your credit card if you do not return the completed form.
Payment frequency
- You can choose to pay monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annually.
- We encourage you to pay annually as it helps to reduce our administration costs, ensuring even more funds reach those in desperate need.
Changing your payment method
- You can change your method of child sponsorship payments by contacting our Customer Service team, any time after you have commenced sponsoring a child.
- You can also download a direct debit form, to change your payment method.
Tax Deductibility
- Child sponsorship payments are fully tax deductible
- If you request a tax statement, or make automated donations during the year using credit card or direct debit, you will receive an official tax statement in mid July, showing your tax-deductible donations made to World Vision Australia in that financial year.
How much does child sponsorship cost?
- Sponsoring a child costs $43 per month.
- Any contribution in excess of the standard monthly rate will be used by us in your sponsored child’s community on long term development projects or to help other sponsored communities in need.
- From time to time, we review the sponsorship amount based on increases in costs and other factors, and we will advise you in advance if there is a change to the sponsorship rate.
