Students consider one of the measures of global inequality: the relative wealth of countries based on their Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and some of the issues with this type of measure. Students identify the distribution of the top 15 and lowest 15 countries using this measure. They then consider the concept of inequality further by comparing two photographs, and assessing a quote from Robert Kennedy.
Note: students will require a world map in order to complete one of the activities in this handout.
