Sons of Korah are incredible advocates for World Vision's work. Lead singer Matthew Jacoby has visited the Kanpur region in India twice to see how we are working to empower people to break the poverty cycle.
Matt is passionate about being part of this process, which is helping to transform one of the poorest communities in India. Sons of Korah even adopted the Kanpur community and encouraged fans to contribute to this change through World Vision Child Sponsorship.
During their partnership with World Vision, Sons of Korah have seen over 500 children sponsored through their shows. By playing in churches across Australia and internationally, Sons of Korah continue to weave a message of change into their music.
World Vision Australia works globally with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. Our work in long-term community development, policy advocacy and change, and emergency relief addresses not only the symptoms of poverty, but also its complex and interrelated causes.
Sons of Korah are passionate about child sponsorship and they have exceeded their goal of seeing 500 children sponsored in one Indian community through their advocacy. Sons of Korah have seen firsthand how sponsorship has enabled once-struggling communities to generate more income and provide quality education, clean water, nutritious food and healthcare for their children.
Matt Jacoby visited Kanpur and saw first-hand how child sponsors are helping to lift this community out of poverty.
