Annette Edmondson

Annette Edmondson is a Dual Olympic Australian cyclist.

She is a two-time World Champion, an Olympic medallist and a 2 times Commonwealth Champion.

Annette won gold medals in both the Omnium and Team Pursuit at the 2015 Track Cycling World Championships in France.

She won gold medals at both the 2014 (Scratch Race) and 2018 (Team Pursuit) Commonwealth Games.

Annette also won a bronze medal at the London 2012 Olympics in the Omnium.

World Vision’s work

World Vision Australia works globally with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. Our work in long-term community development, policy advocacy and change, and emergency relief addresses not only the symptoms of poverty, but also its complex and interrelated causes.

Annette is a passionate advocate for our child sponsorship program, having sponsored children in Brazil and Indonesia. Annette was able to meet her sponsor child Vanessa in Brazil during the 2016 Rio Olympics and said it was one of the most rewarding experiences of her life.
