To the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade,
Five years ago Australia helped the international community defeat the Ebola epidemic in West Africa. We contributed $AU42 million, saving countless lives.
We must again contribute our fair share to stop the Ebola virus from spreading and help the ongoing humanitarian emergency in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Canada – with a similar-sized economy as Australia– has already chipped in $AU35 million to the DR Congo Humanitarian response this year.
We defeated the Ebola virus before and we can do it again. I urge you to immediately boost Australia's direct contribution to #EndEbola.
