Who will it help?
Projects are currently being carried out in three communities in Africa:
Iyolwa Water and Sanitation Project, Uganda
Poor sanitation and lack of clean water make life difficult for the people of Iyolwa. Less than 5,000 families have a toilet of some sort.
Mwinilunga Water and Sanitation Project, Zambia
Over 33,000 people are relying on only two wells for their daily water needs. Many of them have to walk for long distances to reach other water sources.
Ngaya Shallow Well Project, Tanzania
Collecting water is not only exhausting because of distance, but also dangerous. Some wells are dug deep into unstable river beds. The only way to fetch water is with a rope and bucket or by climbing down the wells on makeshift ladders.
When these projects are successfully completed, they will be replaced by similar projects. We will let you know how you can continue your support.
