40 Hour Famine 15-17 August
In 2007, 65,000 Australians and 1,500 schools participated in World Vision's 40 Hour Famine raising nearly $5.5 million for community development projects in Laos. Did you and your school get involved?
In August 2008, the 40 Hour Famine will be helping to release children from child labour in northern India. These kids miss out on their right to education too. So put August in your diary now, invite a World Vision speaker to your school and plan to get involved.
Stand Up! – 17 October 2008
In October 2008, why not organise your school to participate in STAND UP?
In 2007, 103,000 Australians joined with over 43 million people around the world to STAND UP and SPEAK OUT against poverty and injustice It was the largest single coordinated mobilisation in the history of the Guinness World Records.
