The second issue on Disasters looks at both natural and human-made disasters and compares Australia with Sri Lanka. It explores the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami and the ongoing armed conflict in Sri Lanka. Students will gain an understanding of the process of emergency relief, recovery, rehabilitation and disaster preparedness.
