Water in an emergency: race against a ticking clock

In the aftermath of Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar, the mix of sea water, fresh water and an outbreak of bacteria contributed to a new recipe for disaster. Affected communities could tell by taste and colour that the water wasn't clean, but with few alternatives, they had little choice but to put themselves in danger.
