Food aid a lifeline for Beauty and Belinda

Published: 04 July 2011

On a recent trip to Zimbabwe, World Vision’s Kelly Ross met sisters Beauty and Belinda who are among those caught up in a hunger crisis affecting around 1.3 million people. The girls live with their great-grandfather who struggles to care for them, and at just four years old Beauty has become like a mother to her little sister Belinda. Before World Vision started distributing food in their area, the girls were surviving on just one meal a day.

Let's talk about it

I just wondered what will happen to these beautiful girls when their grandfather is no longer around?
