The Scriptures are very clear that God is particularly concerned with the people, made in His image, who suffer needlessly and do not get the chance to live a full life.

The issue of poverty, and the devastating effects it has on people who are all created in the image of God, is a spiritual one. The battle to end poverty is not one that will be won or lost through the efforts of people alone. It is a massive and complex problem that will require the will of God to be done.
