World Vision Response
World Vision's long-term development work in Chad has resumed in full and our programs activities are back to normal operation.
The conflict did not directly affect any areas where World Vision operates, however, a World Vision relief team worked with local partners in Cameroon to provide items such as sleeping mats, mosquito nets, soap and cooking equipment to 35,000 Chadian refugees following the outbreak of violence.
World Vision has worked in Chad since 1985 and our community development programs serve some 400,000 people. Programs focus on health and nutrition, education, HIV prevention, water and sanitation, micro-enterprise development, and agricultural improvements.
