This project aims to improve the situation in communities with AIDS orphans by enhancing health services and access to education,
and providing support to families and people caring for orphans.
Highlights:
More than 800 carers and orphans received training in income generating activities.
More than 300 carers received training in psycho-social care for orphans.
Training, medicine and equipment provided to local health posts, including training of counsellors and laboratory technicians.
Anti-AIDS clubs established to educate the communities through dramas and entertainment.
More than 700 orphans and vulnerable children were provided with school materials.
World Vision is a Public Benevolent Institution and operates two funds which have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status with the Australian Tax Office.
