Value of legal advice When preparing a will, it is advisable to seek qualified legal advice to ensure you achieve all you wish for your family and others through your will. Your solicitor can advise you on tax matters such as trusts, guardians, asset valuations and power of attorney. Family It is important that you consider your own family first. Even if you plan to leave a large amount of your estate to World Vision, it is important to include your family in your will. In this way you can minimise the chances of personal and legal struggles occurring should there be any contest of your will. Memorial book When you leave a gift in your will to change lives through World Vision, we will inscribe your name in the Memorial book placed on public display at World Vision national office in Melbourne. It is one way we can thank and acknowledge you on behalf of the many lives you will change. (Of course, you may remain anonymous if you wish.) |
