Find out more about the ethical practices of your favourite brand or retailer.
Go to Chainstore Reaction and send a "Producer Pledge" to the brands and retailers you buy goods from. It's a way to ask them to investigate slavery in their product chains.
The responses companies send in will be rated and posted online. So you'll see which organisations are working to ensure their products have ethical supply chains. And you'll know which companies are falling behind in this, and who’s unprepared to declare their practices to consumers.
The site doesn’t advocate consumer boycotts. It’s a positive way to unite companies and consumers against unethical business practices, including human trafficking and slavery, and give recognition to companies behaving transparently and ethically.
The Australian version of Chainstore Reaction was launched in April, 2010. In its first phase, the site is focusing on the chocolate industry, the sports ball industry and several major retailers.
