In October 2009, World Vision will proudly host well-known author, speaker and pastor Brian McLaren. In 2005, Time magazine listed Brian as one of America’s most influential evangelicals.

Brian has taken a strong interest in the work of World Vision over many years and is a passionate advocate of our work. While in Australia he will speak about a range of issues. His talks will address such themes as when mission meets the world; poverty, the environment; and the spiritual crisis facing the world.
In a time where everyone is talking about the global financial crisis, Brian McLaren is also talking about Jesus, his message for us and our situation. Brian offers a framework in which we can explore our societal systems – those of prosperity, equity and security.
Brian will be supported by Melbourne performance poet Cameron Semmens, Cameron’s verbal prowess is deeply provocative and delightful.
