Adding variety and diversity to the work day, many organisations engaging in volunteering find it to be an incredibly powerful training and development tool. Corporate volunteers bring with them a wealth of experience, supplementing our existing volunteer workforce.

Corporate volunteers can work on projects that use their professional skills, or they can get involved in general and administrative tasks.

In March 2007, World Vision approached a number of our corporate partners, seeking a skill-based volunteer to lead a post-implementation review of our payroll system. Cameron from NAB responded, and was selected for the role. Cameron’s involvement in the review enabled World Vision to use the skill set of a corporate volunteer to maximum potential.
