Graduate Program FAQs

  • When will WVA be opening applications for the 2012 Graduate intake?

    Applications will be opening in late-September 2011.

  • Is there are graduate program? What does it involve? When can I apply?

    Yes. World Vision Australia’s Graduate Program provides you with the opportunity to develop a rewarding career through on-the-job technical training and specialist development activities. These activities include:
    • Graduate Induction Program: providing a platform for building knowledge and helping first year graduates establish networks within the organisation
    • Development Plan: A framework for graduate learning and development is established for each individual, giving short and long-term goals. Performance and development needs are regularly reviewed 
    • Job Rotations: graduates have the flexibility to move through various teams to broaden their development 
    • World Vision Australia Mentor: each new graduate is assigned a mentor to help with career guidance and settling into the organisation.
    The graduate recruitment process typically begins in August. Offers are made from October to November and the Graduate Program starts in January.

  • Is the program full time? How long does the program run for?

    For the year 2012, our graduate program will run for 1 year only.

  • How many positions are available in the program?

    This may vary from year to year and so we cannot provide a definite figure. The 2010 and 2011 intakes had 3 available positions per year.

  • I have a post-graduate degree, am I eligible to apply?

    Yes you are eligible to apply if you have a post-graduate degree.

  • Do Graduates receive a salary?

    The Graduate Program provides successful candidates with paid, entry level role for a two year contract. There are no fees to participate in the program. Graduates are offered entry to the program through a two stage interview process.
