What we learnt last year

Last year, World Vision engaged with vloggers for the very first time.

Shawna and Tom were part of a similar trip to Zambia along with Alex, another vlogger. Never before had we taken on such a project where people not associated with World Vision controlled the way our work was depicted.

In fact, before World Vision, no NGO had attempted a vlogger trip to achieve momentum around explaining or alleviating global poverty.

In Zambia, Shawna, Tom and Alex visited three different area development programs at three different stages in their partnership with World Vision.

The vlogs they created over the 14 day trip were viewed 1.5 million times and resulted in 40,000 “likes*, 11,000 comments and over 50 child sponsorships!
