     Changing the conversation

A few weeks ago I attended a Soweto Gospel Choir concert where there was a World Vision child sponsorship stand. As I left the venue I could hear two women behind me chatting about how much they loved the concert. Their conversation changed when they reached the World Vision stand. One asked the other if she had a sponsor child. Yes she replied; I sponsor a little boy in Zimbabwe. The concert served as a catalyst in changing their conversation. It opened them up to discussing the needs of others.

This issue of Pulse seeks to demonstrate some of the ways in which World Vision is endeavouring to “change the conversation” and in doing so opening people’s hearts and minds to considering and acting upon big world issues.
