Just like Pradip, five-year-old Bhuvaneshwari once had to go without. Her parents could not afford the nutritious food and healthcare she needed.

With your support, her family were able to take part in a project to improve their income; receiving a cow and livestock training.

Before, her dad Eswaran worked casually on farms. When there wasn’t enough work he would borrow money or travel to other villages looking for work. But that still wasn’t enough.

Now, the family cow keeps them in steady supply of nutritious milk. Any extra is sold to buy food and other essentials.

“I like to drink milk,” says Bhuvaneshwari. The cow produced a calf recently – she loves taking care of it.

Her dad also took part in veterinary training, and she likes to walk with him while he does the village rounds. He teaches other families how to take care of their livestock.
