How you can help

  1. By becoming a World Vision child sponsor, you can help to transform the life of a child and an entire community.
  2. Sponsorship can help a child like Ronald face challenges even greater than ours.
  3. Apiyo’s dream is to become a pilot. You can help children like Apiyo by sponsoring a child.

Sometimes, donating to a cause can feel like throwing pennies into a fountain: well-intentioned, but ultimately pointless. World Vision's child sponsorship program never feels like wasted effort - the results can be seen week after week, year after year, in the improved lives of the poorest children in the world.

By sponsoring a child, you are achieving several things at once:

  • Providing real support to children in need
  • Contributing to programs at the local level that benefit families and communities
  • Giving children and their families a sense of hope
  • Validating the lives of the world's forgotten people
  • Engaging in meaningful cross-cultural dialogue - real conversations with real people

Child Sponsorship is not just a stab in the dark - over decades, it has proven to assist real people end a seemingly intractible cycle of poverty and despair. Without the generous contributions of ordinary Australians, World Vision will continue our life-changing work in disadvantaged communities across the world.

Sponsor a child today, and show that real change can happen.
