Earthquake in Sumatra, Indonesia

Thousands are feared dead after a massive earthquake struck off the coast of Sumatra on 30 September 2009. A second quake hit the following day. There are reports of wide-scale destruction in the city of Padang where buildings, bridges and hospitals have collapsed. World Vision’s emergency response teams are on the ground now assessing the damage
