The response team is aiming to provide assistance to more than 29,000 people with food, relief items, and water & sanitation assistance. Dry food supplies, bottled water, hygiene products, water purifiers, blankets and mosquito nets are part of this assistance.
Children are also able to participate in formal and informal education activities in Child Friendly Spaces.
The Philippines
World Vision Philippines emergency response team has been supporting affected communities with food packs, relief items and ensuring children have school supplies to be able to participate in classes again. World Vision aims to assist more than 110,000 people (22,000 households) in the 30 day emergency response.
World Vision Australia does not have individual appeals for these floods but our Emergency & Preparedness Fund ensures we are ready to respond, and allows us to contribute financially when disaster strikes. With the number of emergencies growing, we expect these crucial funds will continue to be stretched. Supporting it means a lot to those affected by conflict or natural disaster - not only does this work reduce suffering, it helps save lives!
