Each of us finds different ways to make our mark on the world. One way to leave your mark is to make a bequest.
A bequest is a gift left in a will. A bequest to World Vision can help support programs that provide basic needs and give people the skills, tools and knowledge to become self-sufficient.
A World Vision bequest can break the cycle of poverty – bringing benefits now and for generations to come.
The legacy of bequests
- In Ghana, World Vision bequests funded a toilet block and drinking and washing facilities for a school of 500 children. Prior to this construction, this school’s children had only the bushes for toilets and in the dry season, they were without drinking water.
- Also in Ghana, bequests have helped build health centres to serve more than 8,000 people in 15 villages. Lives can now be saved and many more children can look forward to long, healthy lives.
- In Uganda, generous gifts from World Vision supporters have helped to build classrooms for children. Desks and benches were provided, latrines and water tanks were built and 28 teachers were trained. This gift of education has the power to change lives forever.
