Individuals and organisations who share our values and goals can partner with World Vision by linking to our website or using resources supplied on this website to assist in raising awareness and funds for World Vision's programs. Display of photos and other information of sponsored children and our beneficiaries

World Vision is committed to protecting the security, privacy and dignity of our sponsored children and other beneficiaries. We do not allow any person any display photos, videos and other information of sponsored children and other beneficiaries on the internet (their own website or another web forum e.g. social networking sites) without our express prior written consent. To get such consent, please contact us.

If you see sponsored children's photos, videos or other information on another website and you believe that these details contravene our policies, you can help us by contacting us and giving us the URL (address) of the website.  

Use of resources for your fundraising initiatives

If you wish to use any photos, videos and other information of sponsored children or our beneficiaries from this website for your fundraising initiatives, the same restrictions above apply. You should get our express prior written consent before any such use.

Licensing information on linking to us or using our logo

If you would like to link to our site, we permit you to use the World Vision banner or logo for that purpose only, provided you elect to accept these terms:

1. You acknowledge that World Vision International is the sole owner of the World Vision logo and that World Vision Australia is licensed to use the World Vision logo. Your use of the logo acknowledges World Vision International's ownership of the logo and World Vision Australia's rights as licensee. Both World Vision International and World Vision Australia (collectively ''World Vision'') reserve the right to take action against any use of the logo which does not conform to any of these terms, or which infringes any intellectual property or other rights of World Vision or violates applicable law. All goodwill and reputation associated with and generated by your use of the World Vision banner and/or logo will convey to the benefit of World Vision.

2. Your use of the World Vision banner and/or logo does not indicate or create any endorsement, approval, sponsorship or affiliation of or with your website by World Vision. The permission to use the World Vision banner and logo is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation, warranties of title of non-infringement. Use of the World Vision banner and/or logo is solely at your own risk.

3. The permission given to you to use the World Vision banner and logo is a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license.

4. You must adhere to the following:

  • You may use the World Vision banner and logo solely for the purpose of linking to http://www.worldvision.com.au/ or promoting the activities of World Vision. You may not use the World Vision banner and logo for any other purpose. If you wish to use the World Vision banner and/or logo for any other purpose, please contact us.
  • The link you create must always be an active link.
  • The World Vision banner and logo will appear only as provided by World Vision. The World Vision banner and logo must always stand alone and must not:
  • be combined with any other graphical elements or words.
  • be altered or misused in any manner including its size, proportions, font, design, arrangement, colours or elements or animated, morphed or otherwise distorted in perspective or appearance.
  • appear more prominently than your own logo, business or website name.
  • The World Vision banner and logo must be displayed in a positive manner and must not be used in any way which:
  • adversely affects or disparages World Vision and our reputation, products, services or programs;
  • infringes any intellectual property or other rights of World Vision, violates any state, federal or international law, or diminishes or otherwise damages World Vision's goodwill in the World Vision banner and logo; or
  • gives the impression that World Vision endorses, approves, sponsors, is affiliated with or recommends any product or service promoted on the website.
  • You may not transfer, assign, sell, reproduce, distribute or otherwise exploit your link to the World Vision website or your use of the World Vision banner and logo.
  • You will not sub-license or otherwise allow a third party to use the World Vision banner and logo.

3. The permission does not extend to and you may not use the World Vision banner and logo in the following contexts:

  • any websites which includes content promoting or advertising alcoholic beverages, tobacco, religious or political material or firearms or weapons.
  • websites which includes content which World Vision finds in its sole discretion to be objectionable or which includes obscene, pornographic, violent, intolerant, tasteless, denigrating or sexually oriented content or materials.

4. World Vision reserves the right to make any change to these terms. You acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for keeping yourself up to date with any such changes.

5. World Vision reserves the right to revoke the permission granted to you to use the World Vision banner and logo for any reason. If we have revoked the permission, you must remove the link and stop use of the World Vision banner and/or logo within 2 business days of the date on which we give you notice of revocation and you will be prohibited from reinstating the link or using the World Vision banner and logo unless you obtain a fresh written permission from us.

6. All appropriate laws, including the law of the country in which your website originates, apply.
