Become a Youth Ambassador in 2009
Amazing, awesome, life changing... that's life as a World Vision Youth Ambassador. The 2008 Youth Ambassadors visited India last December where they met Kajal and many other kids like her. They also got to see first-hand World Vision's work in action. Now their job is to talk to schools and the media about their unforgettable experiences and inspire other young Australians to do something real about poverty. Meet the 2008 Youth Ambassadors! To apply you must be aged between 15 and 20 years and have raised $200 or more in THE FAMINE: 2008. Short listing and interviewing will occur throughout October 2008, and selection and notification will be at the end of October 2008. Winners’ names will be posted on this website early December 2008. Group Members Your Famine Book, containing the completed Application Form on page 34 (signed by your Group Leader and your parent/guardian if you're under 18) and your answer to the YA question, must be received by World Vision by 30 September 2008 (to be sure, give this book and your money/cheques to your Group Leader before then). Individual Participants Download the application form (available after the Famine Weekend) from the secure log in section and send the completed form to World Vision by 30 September 2008. The 40 Hour Famine is a community education and fundraising initiative of World Vision Australia. |
