Phoebe Yule - NSW
Phoebe Yule, 16, NSW I've always had a real heart and passion for people living in poverty, and have always been outraged that it exists. As young Australians, we can make a difference by giving our time and money generously and raising awareness. When I hear the word 'poverty' I now think of all the shining faces of kids we met, a mountain of rubbish, and makeshift homes with tyres on the roofs. In India, I saw the hope we brought and how they lived on that hope. Knowing that they are still there now, sleeping among rubbish and pigs, empowers me so much more to share my passion and heart with others, in the hope that I could inspire them to take action.
