How to... create your online fundraising page  – in 3 steps!

As soon as you’ve signed up to do the 40 Hour Famine, you can create your very own online fundraising page. This is new in 2010 ... and it’s easy! You will need your famine Participant ID when you first set up your fundraising page. Subsequently, you’ll use your chosen username and password to login to your fundraising page.

STEP 1.

Click on the “Create your page” button. You will be redirected to a form page.

STEP 2.

On the form, select the type of page you want to create, ie:
  • Individual,
(An individual is someone who is doing the 40 Hour Famine solo. They are NOT participating with friends from their school, church or group of mates) OR
  • Group, OR
(This can be a church group, school group, sports group or bunch of your mates)
  • Group Member
(These are people that are part of the Group above - they'll need their receipt book)

Then, enter your 40 Hour Famine Participant ID.

Where do I find my Participant ID?

  • Individuals – Your Participant ID is in your Individual Participant Guide email, sent to you when you signed up to do the 40 Hour Famine.
  • Group Members – Your Participant ID is printed on your Receipt Book.
  • Group Leaders – Use the Banking Book ID to create your Group’s fundraising page.

Fill in the rest of the form, and click "Submit".

STEP 3.

Once you’ve completed Step 2, you will be automatically taken the "Manage your page" form.
This is where you can upload your photo, tell us what you’re giving up, how much you’re hoping to raise and what you’d like your fundraising page web address to be.

The best size for a photo is 149 pixels wide by 150 pixels high at 72 dpi.

Fill in these details, then click "Save and preview" to see what your fundraising page looks like.

  • Group members – if you’re collecting cash and cheque donations, you can enter this information using the "Add donors" form. Your total will grow on your fundraising page.

YOU'RE DONE!

Start promoting your page as widely as you can – via your Facebook and MySpace pages, or email your page’s URL to friends and family.

To register a second page

Have you:

  • already registered a Group page and now want to make your own Group Member page?
  • already registered your Group Member page and now want to register your Group’s page?

If this is the case, you don’t need to repeat the process above. Instead, log in to your existing account and click on the “Register” tab to create your other page. That way, you can manage both your Group’s and your own page via the one log in.
