    40 Hour Famine : Cambodia 2010: Vitamin Enriched Noodles are produced by World Vision in CambodiaThanks to the support raised by last year’s 40 Hour Famine participants, World Vision has been able to deliver 90 metric tonnes of food over the last 6 months to families in Cambodia. These families have been struggling to survive because the main money-earners are sick and can no longer earn money.

    Hey, 40 Hour Famine people!

    Have you ever wondered if the money you raise really helps?  Recently, I had the chance to find out.

    In June 2010, I visited a World Vision nutrition project in Laisamis, Kenya. Money raised from last year’s (2009) 40 Hour Famine has been supporting this project.

  • Levi's
    The results are in!

    Congratulations to the 100 winners of our Levi's® Jeans competition!

    Cheryl Yeong (http://40hf.com/CherylYeong) from Victoria has topped the list after raising an amazing $2,120 dollars over the four days of the competition! She must've asked everyone and anyone for a donation and it shows - she received 34 separate donations and most of them were $20 - $40 each. Wow! Great work Cheryl!

  • Emergencies strike without warning and they can happen anywhere, and for many reasons. They can be natural disasters (such as floods or earthquakes) or human-made ones (such as war). Survivors, many of them children, can be left stranded and in urgent need of relief.

    Every year, a proportion of funds raised in the 40 Hour Famine is allocated to emergency relief. This helps World Vision respond to disasters around the world as they occur.
