What is this about?

Poverty affects all aspects of life - physical, emotional, social and spiritual - and it stops people from fulfilling their God-given potential. World Vision is committed to fighting poverty through transformational development that is community-based, sustainable and focused on the wellbeing of children.

Who is it happening to?

Levy from Zambia has experienced many positive changes since World Vision commenced work in his community with the support of Australian child sponsors. His story demonstrates the lasting difference that sponsorship can make in the life of a child and his or her community.

Why is it happening?

Each community we work with has different needs. World Vision brings globally proven approaches together with each community's own strengths to address their specific challenges, while keeping the wellbeing of children as the focus of all we do.

Where is it happening?

Around the world, almost 400,000 children are sponsored by generous Australians through World Vision. Their contributions are helping to create positive changes, not only for their sponsored child, the child's family and community, but also children in other sponsorship communities, for generations to come.
